MBGFC U14 Major player Billy Raheem has been called up to the DDSL Kennedy Cup 2014 development squad. This is a fantatsic achievement for Billy who has been with the club since U9. This year Billy is an integral part of the U14 Major team managed by Mick Harrop, Jason Carr and Mattie Miller.

The team who got promoted to the U14 Major league this year have started off the season fantasically with four wins from four, taking a couple of big scalps like Home Farm and St.Josephs Boys who themselves would have been firm favourites for the league.

U14 Coach Mick Harrop was delighted with Billy's call up, "Billy has been our best player for the last three season's by far, every season he gets better. We are absolutely delighted with his call up and though it is early days and a lot of hard work lays ahead for Billy, the team management and the club are delighted that he has been recognised as not many players outside of the premier division get call ups, we will support him 100%."

This is the second year in a row Mountview Boys & Girls FC have had a player selected for the Kennedy Cup squad when last year U14 player Mike Nzingo starred in the Limerick showcase under the guidance of Martin Doyle when the DDSL once again retained the Kennedy Cup. Mike is now part of the emerging talent programme.

Best of Luck Billy we are all very proud of your achievement!
